Our history

In 1965, the Dash-Salakhly natural sodium bentonite clay deposit was discovered in the Gazakh district of the Republic of Azerbaijan, near the village of Dash Salakhly.

2006 — The establishment of AzRosPromInvest LLC.

2007 — Inauguration of the first stage of the plant construction with the participation of the President of the Republic of Azerbaijan Ilham Aliyev. The bentonite clay processing plant was built in record time. In the same year the clay activation line was launched and regular shipment of lump and activated clay to consumers started.

2008 — The clay powder production line was launched, including a drying and grinding shop.

2009 — Start of regular deliveries of bentonite powder to foundries in Russia and Belarus.

2010 — Stable annual supplies of bentonite products to Russian mining and processing plants in the amount of 50 thousand tonnes per year.

2011 — Certification of the plant laboratory according to ISO 9001-2008 quality standard.

2012 — Start of regular supplies of bentonite powders to the domestic market. Signing of a long-term contract for the shipment of clay powder for drilling to the State Oil Company Socar.

2013 — Product supply volumes doubled to 100 thousandtonnes per year.

2016 — Start of regular supplies to the western market, primarily to Italy and Poland.

2017 — Launch of an additional technological line for the production of bentonite granules.

2019 — Start of regular supplies to East and South-East Asia (including Japan, China, Indonesia).

2024 — Production and sales volume exceeded 200 thousand tonnes per year.
